THANKS FOR BEING HERE.

I’m Mitch.

I originally attempted a formal bio, but decided to leave you with these bullet points that might summarize my existence (and embarrass my wife).

• Weird Al was my first concert.

I went to the optometrist once in my life and she told me I was colorblind. I’ve never been back and my understanding of color seems FINE.

• My dog, Junebug, is half Redbone Coonhound but I’ve never understood the name of that breed. Should be Greenbone Coonhound.

• Aesop Rock and Stevie Wonder are my favorite musicians. Neither of them are any version of blind.

• I grew up wanting to be Kevin Garnett but never got around to legally changing my name.

• You’re probably thinking, “he needs to practice drawing things other than faces.” I KNOW.

• I’ve yet to confirm with my primary care physician, but I’m confident I’m done growing.

• If you don’t love black beans, skip this next line.

• My cousin, Emmett, once described me as “apple forward,” fairly implying I love all things apple.

• I found out I was going bald when I saw the back of my head in a photo of myself taking a photo of someone else.

• My favorite animal at the zoo is the orangutan, but only if he’s dragging that blanket around. Otherwise it’s the Müller’s Gibbon; my brothers in arms.

• The last book I read was Every Living Thing by Jason Roberts. I’m currently reading Out There by the Editors of Outside Magazine.

• My Top 3 Albums of 2025: Aesop Rock - I Heard It’s A Mess There Too, Okonski - Entrance Music, Temporary Blessings - Sumbisori
